Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has ignited hopes of a shock comeback in time to face Barcelona after being photographed in full training on Monday.
Van Persie had been ruled out of the trip to the Nou Camp after injuring his knee while scoring against Birmingham in the Carling Cup final last month, but pictures released on the club’s official website show Van Persie apparently participating in full training, raising hopes that he could be included in Arsene Wenger’s squad list for the trip to Barcelona.
The Netherlands international returned to his homeland for treatment on the injury that has kept him out of Arsenal’s last two Premier League games against Stoke and Sunderland.
